Last July my family and I did some Land and Sea fun by both enjoying our Disney Cruise and then spending a couple days at Walt Disney World. We had the pleasure of cruising on Disney’s Wish. When it comes to Disney’s Wish though I would love to break it down into some categories. This blog is not a play by play. My hope is that I say just enough to get you excited about booking this ship, but not too much so the magic of this cruise isn’t taken away from you.
Why Disney’s Wish…

3. Dining Experiences: From Quick Service options to Rotational Dining there is something for everyone. We REALLY enjoyed the buffet. The food at Marceline Market was SO GOOD. Not to mention all the themed options on the decks where you could get anything from Mexican Cuisine, BBQ, and even Pizza.
4. Family-Friendly Activities: Disney’s Wish is packed with activities and amenities designed to entertain guests of all ages. From water slides and splash zones to character meet-and-greets and youth clubs, there’s endless fun to be had for the whole family!

Let’s Chat Castaway Cay
If you are taking a Disney Cruise into the Bahamas then you can expect to visit Disney’s Private Island Castaway Cay. Easily one of our favorite parts of cruising with Disney is getting to visit this island. What I love is that it’s included in the price. Typically, when you cruise, once you get off the ship anything you do off the ship will cost extra. While they do have additional experiences on this island that cost more, they have so much for you to experience at NO ADDITIONAL COST. This includes your meal that day, Water Slides, and more.
1. Beautiful Beaches: Castaway Cay has some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, with the whitest sands and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and simply relaxing in the sun.
2. Family-Friendly Activities: From water sports and beach games to bicycle rentals and nature trails, there’s no shortage of activities to keep the whole family entertained on Castaway Cay.
3. Serenity Bay: For adults looking to escape the hustle and bustle, Serenity Bay offers a secluded oasis of tranquility with hammocks, beach chairs, and a beachside bar serving up refreshing cocktails. We didn’t experience this on this trip, but a couple years back when Disney hosted me I did and it was WONDERFUL.
4. Castaway Cay BBQ: Indulge in a delicious beachside barbecue feast featuring grilled meats, fresh salads, and delectable desserts – and don’t forget all included in your cruise fare. Yes! You read that right!
5. Exclusive Disney Experiences: One of the best parts about Castaway Cay is it’s Disney magic. The themed areas inspired by classic Disney stories and characters really ensures a truly immersive experience for you and your family.
