This can be a huge game changer when it comes to stress. KET has a blog on resorts you should check out. But, I am speaking to this as someone who has done it both ways. For my one year wedding anniversary we stayed off property and two days into the trip we fully regretted not staying on property. It cost to park, traffic in Orlando is the worst. You don’t get the extras. It’s just sad. It might seem like you’re saving a dime until you’re there. From every morning and evening shuttles getting you to and from the parks, to the luxury of gaining extra magic hours allowing you into the park early, or to stay later. It’s a win win ALWAYS and I have to report we have never not stayed on property again.
Plan Ahead
While we are happy to book a trip for you a month before you leave, it’s way less stressful if you plan ahead. Planning ahead allows you to benefit from all the magical extras. For instance, if you book your vacation a year in advance that gives you time to pay if off in increments. ($200 deposit and then you don’t owe another dime until 30 days before you leave) Makes it easier to ensure you’ll get not only the rooms you and your family love but the reservations at the dining locations of your liking as well. DISCOUNTS. While they are never a guarantee you are more likely to be able to take advantage of those by planning ahead. I think we all know in anything in life, planning ahead = less stress.
Disney’s Dining Plan
I can’t say this one enough. If you vacation with the thought of all the amazing food you are going to consume, this is for you. This is also something I and the majority of our team can speak into from personal experience. But for me, my husband LOVES to eat. When it comes to vacation there is no money range for him, he wants to eat what he wants when he wants. Anyone else? So after our first trip to Disney where we spent 8 days in the park… I learned really quickly the Disney Dining Plan would have saved us money. (10% to be exact) Outside of the money you save, it’s also incredibly convenient. Your meals and snacks are now prepaid for. Essentially you just made your Disney Vacation all inclusive and it doesn’t get much better than that.
